Judith Miller Jones, MA, has been director of the National Health Policy Forum at George Washington University since its inception in 1972. As founder and director, Ms. Jones guides the Forum's informational programming for federal health policymakers and spearheads NHPF's fundraising efforts. Ms. Jones also served as chair to the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics from 1991 through 1996. She is a lecturer in health policy in the School of Public Health and Health Sciences at George Washington University and is a mentor for the Wharton School's Health Care Management Program. Ms. Jones is involved in a number of community activities in and around Shepherdstown, West Virginia, including chairing Healthier Jefferson County, a committee dedicated to improving public health and medical care in that area of the Eastern Panhandle.

The Center for Advancing Health's board of trustees and staff hosted a reception this past Thursday, October 9, in honor of Jessie Gruman, CFAH's founder and president until her death on July 14. Speakers included colleagues, family members and guests.
