HABIT

December 23, 2002 Vol. 5 No. 10

Dear Colleagues,

Ready to say hello to 2003? As the holidays wind down, you might be thinking about New Year's resolutions and wondering how long your good intentions to head back to the gym or learn a new hobby will last this year. Well, HABIT has a "little" advice for you: Think small.

From the "Small Steps, Big Rewards" diabetes program mentioned in the Washington Update to a new "Declaration of Health" program in Texas that encourages residents to make small changes in their health behavior, the message is that every little bit counts when it comes to a successful permanent change.

So here's hoping your resolutions are small but significant. We're looking forward to seeing you back here in January!

Regards --
