Vol. 6 No. 1

Dear Colleagues,

The news around town this January is NIH -- will it or won't it get the money to complete a five-year doubling of its budget? And what does the future of NIH funding hold? Answers to these questions may be slow in coming, but don't let that stop you from taking action now.

Check out the article on budgets below to find out how you can contact your elected officials and encourage them to support the NIH doubling effort. Let them know how NIH money affects you, your research and the health care of millions of Americans.

And let us know how you feel, too -- we're always interested in hearing what HABIT readers think of the latest in policy or practice.

Cheers --
