Center for Advancement of Health Receives 4-Star Rating from
Charity Navigator for Second Consecutive Year
Nation's Largest Independent Evaluator of Charities Recognizes CFAH for Sound Fiscal ManagementCharity Navigator, founded in 2001, applies a unique method of data-driven analysis to the charitable sector. Their rating system examines two major areas of a charity's financial health — how responsibly it functions day to day as well as how well positioned it is to sustain its programs over time. Each charity is awarded an overall rating, ranging from zero to four stars. The ratings are then published and made available at no cost on their website, www.charitynavigator.org. Last year, Charity Navigator influenced over $10 billion in charitable gifts.
"We are pleased to receive Charity Navigator's 4-Star rating for prudent financial management again this year," said Jessie Gruman, PhD, President of The Center for Advancing Health. "Our mission to build an America where everyone is prepared to live healthy lives and make sound choices about their health care relies on the generous contributions of organizations and individuals. I hope that this recognition provides our current supporters — and others considering giving — with trust that the Center manages their gifts efficiently and delivers on our promise."
Ken Berger, President and CEO of Charity Navigator, said "The Center for Advancing Health consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way and outperforms most other charities in America." Mr. Berger added, "This exceptional designation… differentiates the Center for Advancing Health from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of its trust."
