Here's to Better Health Reporting
By Jessie C. Gruman"Where the Naproxen Story Went Wrong" [Feb. 1] illuminated the hazards of oversimplified reporting — and of oversimplified reading. In our "ownership society," consumers are increasingly on their own in the quest to make the right health decisions for themselves and family, and to do a better job they are going to need help from public agencies and from news media asking the age-old journalism questions: who, what, when, where, why and how? — and now, who paid?
