W.K. Kellogg Health Policy Fellows Program

2002 Kellogg Fellow Bios:

Kalahn Taylor-Clark is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Health Policy at Harvard University. Her concentration is in Political Analysis with a particular emphasis on public health policy and practice. Her dissertation topic is in the area of Public, Government and Health Policy. Ms. Taylor-Clark will write three papers in these areas: “Confidence in Crisis? Understanding Trust in Government and Public Attitudes toward Emergency State Health Powers”; “Is America Ready? White and Minority Attitudes toward Government Action to Reduce Racial Inequalities in Health Care”; and, “News of Disparity: News Coverage of Racial Health Care Inequalities – A ten-year perspective.”

She received a BA in International Relations from Tufts University and went on to receive her Masters in Public Health from Tufts School of medicine. She is currently finishing her dissertation and working as a part-time lecturer at Tufts, where she teaches “Women and Health” and the “Politics of Health Disparities.” Her research interests include: political analysis and strategy for U.S. health policy; women, gender and health; race and health politics in America; and survey research methods.
