The major themes of research projects at the Institute for Social Research
are:
- macro
and micro factors in the etiology and course of health/illness and mental
health/illness,
including socioeconomic, racial/ethnic and gender disparities in health
- pathogenic
factors as well as social, psychological and cultural resources that
facilitate
processes of coping and adaptation
- promising
strategies and policies for reducing inequalities in health
